Data processed

When you generate a QR code, the following data is processed:

• the content you enter (link, text, contact details, Wi-Fi network…), only for the time needed to generate the file;
• technical metadata of each request: date, response code, duration and browser type (User-Agent);
• your IP address, which, like some technical metadata, may constitute personal data.

Purposes and legal basis

• generating the QR code you request;
• protecting the service against abuse (rate limiting);
• operating and troubleshooting the service.

The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the publisher in providing a secure service, subject to confirmation by the legal department.

Temporary processing on the server

In this version, the QR code is generated on our server. Your data is sent temporarily to the server to create the QR code, then it is neither stored nor recorded in the logs.

No database, account, history, scan statistics or analytics tool is used. Each download recreates the file from the form, without temporary storage.

Technical logs

The web server records technical logs (IP address, date, requested page, response code, duration, User-Agent) to ensure security and operation. These logs never contain the content of your QR codes, your personal data or your Wi-Fi passwords.

Application errors are logged with a reference number only, without any content you entered.

Retention period

The content you enter is not stored. Technical logs are kept for a limited period defined by the publisher before going live, then deleted or anonymized.

Recipients and processors

Data is only accessible to authorized technical staff and to the hosting provider named in the legal notice. No data is sold or shared for advertising purposes.

Cookie

A single cookie may be set, only if you choose a language with the language selector:

• name: agillia_qr_lang;
• purpose: remember your language choice (English or French);
• lifetime: 12 months at most;
• content: only the language code, never any QR code data.

This cookie is strictly necessary for the service you request and, subject to legal validation, is exempt from consent. You can delete it at any time from your browser settings. No tracking or advertising cookie is used.

In your browser

When you change the language on the generator page, only non-personal fields (type, link, text, network name, visual options) are kept for a moment in your browser’s session storage, then deleted immediately after being restored. Personal data and passwords are never stored in your browser, in cookies or in addresses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase and object to the processing of your data, and to restrict it. As we do not store the content of your QR codes, most requests will concern technical logs.
